A stone’s throw from the Fish Market, behind a shopfront on Rue de Flandre, you step into a large 100 m² workshop where every table is already set: vials and pipettes on one side, beads and pliers on the other, blocks of clay further along. At Break-it, you come to make something with your hands for an hour or two, and you take it home with you.
What you do there
Five workshops, all materials included, run in French or English:
- Perfume making: 1h, you compose your own fragrance from top, heart and base notes, and leave with your bottle.
- Jewellery making: 2h, rings, bracelets or necklaces, depending on what you feel like wearing.
- Candle making: 2h15, wax, scent and container of your choice.
- Air-dry clay: 2h, an object you shape yourself and that dries without an oven.
- Mosaic: 2h30, the longest workshop, for a trivet or a small picture.
No skills are required, the team guides you through every step. Groups can reach 30 or 40 people depending on the workshop, and Break-it also comes to companies or to your home anywhere in Belgium.
Who it’s for
The date night that makes a change from the restaurant, a teenager’s or an adult’s birthday, the Saturday hen or stag party, and above all teams: creative team building has become the house speciality, with the option to privatise the entire workshop.
